#OCTOPATH TRAVELER OST ITUNES SERIES#
Starting with the very first game in the series and touching upon themes from Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and more, the tracks bring new life to the compositions of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito.ĭARKNESS, Project Destati’s second of three volumes, has been a concept since 2014 that we’ve been slowly piecing together with the utmost care and forethought for each of the 30 tracks in this collection. Project Destati: DARKNESS includes 30 fan-favorite themes drawn from every title across the Kingdom Hearts franchise with nearly two-and-a-half hours of imaginative arrangements spanning 30 tracks.
Now, almost 4 years later the same teams have followed up the LIGHT album with the even larger second part of the tribute DARKNESS.

You will be able to pick up the Octopath Traveler Original Soundtrack on Amazon, Play-Asia and the Square-Enix Music store.īack in 2014, Materia Collective and Project Destati created the first of an effort to release the music of Kingdom Hearts in a live album with full orchestration, which they called LIGHT. Now with Octopath Traveler releasing this Friday, July 13th (with hopefully no big, Friday the 13th unlucky game breaks on launch), the game’s soundtrack will be releasing simultaneously. We previewed some of the music of the soundtrack back in March with a sampler release, and now it’s come time for the full shebang from composer Yasunori Nishiki to be released. The 4-disc album contains 80 tracks encompassing the game’s music as you take control of the game’s characters and traverse the different lands of Octopath. The original soundtrack to Square-Enix’s new action RPG, Octopath Traveler, containing the songs that colorize the fantastical world that the game presents to the player, will be releasing on the same day as the game itself. The Eightfold Road: Metal Arrangements from Octopath Traveler is currently for pre-order on Bandcamp and will release October 28th. The Eightfold Road: Metal Arrangements from Octopath Traveler by FamilyJules The two-disc album takes from composer Yasunori Nishiki’s compositions for Octopath Traveler and gives them full metal, rock and acoustic arrangements while staying true to the source material. Sure enough, he’s taken a significant portion of the soundtrack to Square Enix’s most recent offering, Octopath Traveler, and given it the rock/metal treatment in his soon-to-be release The Eightfold Road: Metal Arrangements from Octopath Traveler. FamilyJules7x is one such musician whose penchant for taking melodic VGM and turning it into rocking remixes has gained him some measure of distinction.
Let it never be forgotten that Square Enix games tend to have soundtracks that inspire a lot of musicians and artists in the video game field, and certainly the arrangement communities.
